Data Centres – C-Zero Markets Ltd has signed a heads of terms agreement with Mast Energy Developments plc to form an exclusive joint venture to develop, construct, and operate power supply solutions for the rapidly growing AI data centre sector.
The partnership comes at a pivotal moment. AI data centre electricity demand is projected to rise from approximately 2.5 GW in 2024 to around 8 GW by 2030, with the UK Government committed to scaling public sector AI computing capacity by at least 20-fold over the same period.

Growth Zones and Capacity Expansion
Designated “Growth Zones” will benefit from streamlined planning processes, with the first zone already confirmed and targeting up to 500 MW of new capacity.
Joint Venture Targets and Strategy
Under the joint venture, C-Zero Markets Ltd and Mast Energy Developments plc will work exclusively to deliver projects aimed at meeting this demand.

The joint venture will also seek to attract AI data centre developers to co-locate with its current and future sites, unlocking economies of scale.
